As a result of exploration near the industrial area we identify a former cement factory, disused since years; an eco-monster that was seized in '98 , to be dismissed in 2002 without any drainage. The decaying building, close to the town, looks like an open dumping site accessible to all. Inside a laboratory with bottles of solvent becomes the object of investigation.
So, during the patronal feast of the city, 69 cans of chemical solvents from the former cement works are stolen and deposited in the central square, under the eyes of all, to highlight the terror that actually lays behind the indifference of a denied everyday life.
During the action the leaflets were distributed with the following text:
To free an open-air laboratory accessible to all (and we're here giving evidence) from highly polluting chemicals, left in a building as a souvenir for years, now decaying and abandoned.
Shake consciences starting a cleaning operation to trigger a process that includes more than 2000 hectares of land completely polluted.
To border a space, occupying a public space, big as the area free from substances, until they will not be disposed by the company responsible for it (or so we hope).
While some members of Az.Namusn.Art, were denounced for procured alarm. The day after the action, it began a survey from the magistrautre followed by an inspection of the NAS, ordering the seizure of the highly polluted soil, equal to 3500 square meters.

After Hours

Collage of spontaneous shots made by passers-by that watched in disbelief the analysis operation and disposal of hazardous liquids from the radioactive chemical and bacteriological nucleus of a firefighters, called to check the danger of contamination of the mysterious substances, and having given "security" and having evacuated the central square to further circumscribing, they gave rise to an unexpected performances lasting more than three hours.
