Dis-mission

Waiting for the G8, that was supposed to be hosted in the National Park of La Maddalena, with the complicity of a soft air crew, we stormed and squatted the special waste disposal dump, in which, secretly, for a whole year, had been brought rubble from the ex armoury of La Maddalena. After the action we disseminated the news with a press released email, delivered to local televisions and news papers.

DIS-MISSION

Between July and August of 1972, according to a secret agreement between the Italian and the American governments, land at La Maddalena, the support ship Fulton and the submarines of the Sixth Fleet Task Force 69, accompanied by Kennedy aircraft carrier and a deployment flashy warships. On September 15th, the spokesman for the Navy Command of the United States announced the new strategic role of the island: a base for U.S. nuclear-powered submarines, known as Hunter-Killer.
On 25 January 2008, after over 35 years of occupation, the Americans left the base of La Maddalena. On leaving the island the Americans announced that they have made well-defined arrangements for the remediation of the entire area, land and sea. According to U.S. sources, the decontamination issue is closed. The Italian Navy announces that the Americans have recovered 500 tons of ferrous materials.
Instead, it is well known that, in the area of Coronas Bentosas in the territory of Bolotana and near the industrial area of Ottana, it was brought - in total secrecy - 365 tons of asbestos and other contaminated materials from the demolition of the Military arsenal of la Maddalena, in connection with the work for the vanished G8.
Here is yet another abuse of power. Yet the mystification of the media to cover the usual compromises. And the hypocrisies of a ruling class involved in malpractice, personal interests and international political approval.
Here "the island that no longer exists. " The Italian government ineptitude scapegoat. A shattered mirror of his self-centered invalidity. Where, finally, the incompleteness becomes the value expressed by a policy based on cosmetic and circus histrionics.
This time we assume our task of completing the work. We militarily invade one of those industrial areas, in anticipation of the G8 summit in La Maddalena, that were to be occupied by the armed forces to guarantee security for its "Greats", defending them from possible terrorist attacks.
That terrorism, which, however, destroys every day - legally - with incalculable harm to the environment, loading the territory and the population, with the complicity of the enslavement of Italian government and the regional administration of Sardinia.
Enough! Forced to carry to extremes consequences the inability of the government's management, we announce that, as in Iwo Jima, YOUR CHARADE IS OUR TRUTH.
We hoist our disgust, we arm the dissent of despair and finally lower your flag!
