Draw your ideal home

For the second participation to the well known International Architecture Festival, we registered Maura ( the little niece of one of our members), a six years old girls of Porto Torres, to a workshop offered by the festival: the "Mini Festarch", dedicated to all the kids between 6 and 11 years old. The theme was about drawing the ideal house. Maura, days before was brought by us to the industrialized areas of the city for a little field trip. Once back at home we spoke together about the environmental situation that she got to see. The drawing that she made during the workshop come exclusively by her sensitivity and by the impression gained from the field trip. With no attempt of plagiarism or pressure, just by visual suggestion.

Home sweet home

The paper produced during the workshop "Design your ideal home" by Maura at MiniFestarch Festarch during the edition of 2008, the "International Festival of Architecture in Sardinia" was reworked by us and animated. Starting from a photograph we have reformulated the process of construction and deconstruction of the home and of the environment, what emerges is a continuous self-phagocytosis image, difficult to digest. A snake biting its tail, a short circuit that feeds itself, it creates and destroys at the same time.
